Our journey commenced in 1978 as Sri Manjunath Industries in the serene coastal village of Udyavara, Karnataka. From modest origins with a single rotary milling machine on a small piece of land, we methodically expanded, introducing two more machines over the years.
In our early days, our coconut oil was distributed in 15kg tin cans, and we took pride in preserving authenticity through manual shelling and sun-drying processes. The commitment to quality guided our practices as we sourced copra and unshelled coconuts from the local community and our small farm.
In 2004, the brand “Kiran” was proudly bestowed upon our coconut oil, marking a diversification in packaging to include PET bottles, HDPE cans, and plastic pouches. The reputation of our coconut oil extended far beyond our coastal origins, becoming a sought-after product in neighboring towns and villages.
A transformative chapter unfolded in 2019 as we relocated to a more expansive plot of land in Belapu, near Kaup, rebranding ourselves as Sri Aryadurga Agro Industries. This transition was complemented by technological upgrades, ensuring modernized copra drying, oil extraction, and filtration processes while preserving our rich heritage.
In response to the growing demand for our premium coconut oil, we entered the online marketplace in 2024. This strategic move not only facilitated nationwide access but also marked a significant enhancement in our production process. Since 2019, we implemented a mechanical double-filtration process to ensure the purity of our coconut oil, mitigating delays in delivery attributed to gravity filtration.
Our commitment to quality extends beyond the sourcing of locally sun-dried copra directly from the community and aggregators. “Namma Tulunada Kammeno,” our tagline, encapsulates the essence of Tulu Nadu in every container of Kiran Coconut Oil.
It is imperative to emphasize that Kiran Coconut Oil remains free from adulteration, chemical preservatives, and artificial essences.
